Abstracts must be original contributions and should fall into one of three presentation types:
They may be submitted under the following categories:
Abstracts must be written in English and are limited to only 250 words (excluding title), with a structured format consisting of the introduction, methodology, results and conclusion.
DO NOT include grant support information in the abstract body.
Graphics (figures and tables) are not allowed. Abstracts are required to be text-only. However, they may be included in the poster session.

At least 3 keywords, preferably using terms from the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) list of Index Medicus, should be listed for cross-indexing of the article.
The submitting author will be listed as the primary author on the abstract. There will be no exception to this rule. A confirmation email will be sent by to all authors listed in the submitted abstract to acknowledge receipt of the abstract and to notify if the abstract will be accepted. The submitting author must therefore provide his/her email address and those of all of his/her co-authors.
Abstracts are reviewed, graded and accepted/rejected by the Research Committee. Approximately 10% of the top-scoring abstracts from each category will be selected for oral sessions. The remaining accepted abstracts will be selected for poster presentation. All accepted abstracts will be published in a supplement to the Journal of the ASEAN Federation of Endocrine Societies (JAFES).
Schedules of oral and poster presentations will be set by the Scientific Committee. Presenting authors will NOT be allowed to reschedule their presentations except for religious reasons.
Failure to comply with any of the above rules may lead to an abstract being rejected by the Scientific Committee. Gross violation of research or publication ethics may result in an author's exclusion from future abstract submission.
